MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Men's Basketball is set to travel to Johnson City, Tenn., this weekend for a three-team event. The Eagles will face host ETSU Friday at 7 p.m. ET and Louisiana-Monroe Saturday at 6 p.m. ET.

Jonathan Mattox reached 200 overall wins for his career as a staff member or a head coach (at Morehead State and Murray State) with the Eagles' win over Kentucky Christian.
• Morehead State has a 111-60 overall record since 2020-21, or 63 percent success rate. That figure ranks No. 1 for winning percentage in the Ohio Valley Conference in that span. The program has had nine 20-win seasons since 2008-09.
• Morehead State is 51-10 at home in the last five seasons, an 84 percent success rate.
• Morehead State's 121 points against KCU was the most for the program since equaling that on Nov. 29, 2014 - also against KCU.

Chase Dawson was the 2024-25 Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year at Mount Olive (N.C.). Dawson scored the third-most points in a single season in Mount Olive (N.C.) (Division II) history after racking up 642 points in 30 games played. Dawson scored a season-high 19 and had a season-best seven assists versus KCU.

Jon Carroll was named Second-Team NJCAA Division II All-American last year and produced 18 double-doubles at North Central Missouri College. Carroll made all seven of his FG attempts against Midway. He is the first Eagle since Treshaad Williams on Dec. 28, 2016, to go perfect from the field on a minimum of 7 attempts. Carroll now has two Eagle double-doubles, in two of the last three games.
• Morehead State has shot better than 60 percent in two games this year, against Midway (Ky.) and KCU. The .658 clip against KCU marked the third highest single-game accuracy since 2011-12.

George Marshall, Jr. has now made 43 of his last 45 attempts from the stripe. He is a career 83 percent free throw shooter.

George Marshall, Jr., has two 20+ point efforts so far in 2025-26 and is leading MSU with 14.8 ppg.
