Morehead, Ky. -- Morehead State senior M.E. Hargan has been selected the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year in balloting by conference head coaches and sports information directors.

Hargan led the OVC averaging 4.50 kills per set and 5.28 points per set in league play. She also ranked seventh in the OVC, posting a .286 hitting percentage in conference matches. On the season, Hargan slammed 441 kills, the fifth-highest tally in program history in the modern era. All of her four seasons rank in the top-11 in program history in the modern era.

"M.E. earning player of the year is incredibly well deserved," said MSU Head Coach Kyrsten Becker-McBride. "As a freshman three years ago, it was clear that she had the potential to be one of the best attackers in our conference. Actually accomplishing that goal is a whole different ballgame.. While she would be the first person to say she can't do anything without her team, it's an honor that she has earned and greatly deserves," she added.

Hargan ranks in the career top-10 in program history for the modern era in kills (1,436- 3rd), total attacks (4,416- 2nd), service aces (98- 10th), digs (920- 9th), sets played (429- 10th), and block solos (36- 10th).

Hargan also became the sixth player in program history to be named as an All-OVC First-Team selection in three seasons. She was a five-time Offensive Player of the Week selection this season. Earlier this month, she received the prestigious OVC Scholar-Athlete Award for the 2025-26, the fifth MSU volleyball to receive the award.

Junior setter Sydney Sennett was named to the All-OVC First Team. Sennett piled up 646 assists averaging 11.14 assists in league play, ranking second in the conference. The Eagles led the OVC hitting a .265 attack efficiency.

" Sydney has done a great job guiding our offense to be the most efficient in the conference," said Becker-McBride. "While our passers set her up for success, and she has great attackers to choose from, at the end of the day it's her job to distribute the ball. She has grown into her role as a 5-1 setter, and become a steady leader on the court. She touches the ball more than anyone esle on the team, , and has done a great job setting up pour attackers to be successful."

Sennett piled up 970 assists this season, the 10th-most for a season in the modern era, recording 23 matches with 30 or more assists. She has amassed career 1,903 assists, ranking seventh in the modern era in the MSU record book.

Junior middle Amelia Nott selected to the All-OVC Second Team. She ranked second in the OVC posting a hitting percentage of .365 while averaging over 2.2 kills per play in league matches. Her attack efficiency of .354 this season ranks as the second-highest in the modern era at Morehead State. Her current career hitting percentage of .288 ranks second in program history,

"Amelia has made an impact on our team and the conference by being one of the most efficient attackers in the OVC," said Becker-McBride. "Hitting .365 on a season is hard to do, especially when someone gets set at much as Amelia. To top it off, she's one of the most impactful servers in the OVC.  She works incredibly hard, and it's great to see her get recognition as one of the top middles in our conference."

Nott finished the conference season with 26 service aces ranking second in the OVC. Her 39 total aces this season ranks as the 7th-most in a season in MSU history in the modern era. She is tied for fourth in the modern era at MSU with 110 service aces in her career. Nott ranks eighth in the MSU record book with 249 career block assists and is ninth with 280 total blocks.

Hollan Everett slugged 295 kills this season, averaging 3.04 kills per set finishing with double-digit kills in 17 matches. She topped the 800-kill milestone late in the season. She has swung on 2,467 total attacks in her career, which ranks eighth in the MSU record book.

"Given that Hollan entered our program as a middle blocker, her transition to now be an All OVC outside is a testament to her hard work and perseverance," said Becker-McBride. "It's not an easy transition, and this year has been a great example of what can happen when you stick with the process and keep working.  She has handled a lot of out of system balls for our team, which makes hitting .224 even more impressive.  She's also one of the best pin blockers in our conference, and that takes pressure off our defense and helps them be successful," she added.

Everett proved her versatility at the net as well with 58 total blocks on the season. Her 30 block solos this fall ranks 10th in the program record book for the modern era. Her career 38 block solos this season is tied for sixth-most in program history.

"Any time one of our players receives an individual honor, it's truly a reflection of the entire team," said Becker-McBride. "Every athlete in our program contributes to each other's success.  No one can earn an All Conference honor alone, and having four Eagles recognized is a proud moment for our team and program."
