MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Rifle will line up at home for the final time in 2024-25 as the Eagles host the Akron Zips Saturday. First shots are at 8:15 a.m. ET at Button Range.
The program will look for its first win over the Zips since the 2025-16 season, head coach
Alan Joseph's second at MSU. Both teams are among the nation's top-20 shooting units ths season.
Morehead State shot at the OVC Championships most recently, where freshman
George Kuhne led the team with an 1168 aggregate total. Overall this year, junior
Adrianna Beard continues to pace the squad with an 1167.7 aggregate average. Kuhne is close behind at 1165.1.
Morehead State is 5-5 in true shoulder-to-shoulder matches this winter, but the Eagles have not lost at home, bettering both opponents that have shot at Button and sporting a 4-0 home record.
Following the Alron action, MSU will be off until Feb. 22 when it shoots at the NCAA Qualifier event at Kentucky.
