LEXINGTON, Ky. --
Morehead State Rifle junior Hayden Bell represented the program by becoming the fifth ever Eagle to shoot at the NCAA Championships Saturday.

At Kentucky's Historic Memorial Coliseum, Bell fired a 591 in the Air Rifle Championships to finish 33rd of the 44 shooters. Bell landed 45 center shots. He scored a perfect 100 on his fifth target, scoring all 10s on that round.

"This whole week has been a great experience," said Bell. "It was definitely a different atmosphere here in the arena I am not used to. But, after the first target I thought I settled in and shot pretty well. Obviously I would have liked to have scored a few more points, but now I know what to expect. I hope to be able to return to shoot at the NCAA again."

Audrey Gogniat of Mississippi won the individual Air Rifle title with a perfect 600 and won the individual shootout as well. West Virginia edged host Kentucky by one point, 4738-4737, to win the overall team title.
