NOTABLE
- JJ Dutton was a bright spot for Morehead State. He went 4-4 on the night, extending his hit streak to 17 games. Dutton now leads the club in hitting at .346.
- Hunter Thomas collected four hits in five at bats. He hit two home runs; his second, in the eighth inning, was an inside-the-park homer. He drove a pitch down the left field line into the corner that appeared to get tangled in the fence covering, confusing the Marshall left fielder. By the time the ball was returned to the infield, Thomas had circled the bases.
- The Eagles also got home runs from Alex Kean (his 10th), Griffin Olson (his eighth), and Aubrey Kearns (his fourth).
- The teams combined for 47 runs, which is an Allen Field record. The previous record was 46, set on March 7, 2009, when MSU defeated Long Island 27-19
