Morehead, Ky. – Southeast Missouri got four runs in the top of the ninth inning, capped by designated hitter Gunnar Doyle's three-run home run, and escaped with an 11-10 win Sunday at Allen Field at Prefontaine Park.

Morehead State reliever Josh Furtado (2-2) got the first two batters in the ninth out. SEMO (26-18/ 13-5 OVC), then strung together three straight singles to cut the lead to 10-8, setting up Doyle's

MSU third baseman Griffin Olson then cleared the bases with a triple to deep left center to put the Eagles ahead 3-0.

The Eagles tacked on another run in the third inning. Davis Germann reached on a double high off the screen in right center. He was driven home by Andy Cisneros' two-out double into the right field corner.

The Eagles responded in the home half of the fifth, scoring four runs to go ahead 8-4. Caden Sheridan and Hunter Thomas led off the inning with singles. They were advanced by Germann's sacrifice bunt and driven home by JJ Dutton's flare double on the right field line.

After SEMO scored a solo run in the top of the sixth, Morehead State got it back on Sheridan's leadoff home run down the left field line to make the score 9-5.
