OVC Basketball Schedules Pose Challenges, Rewards for Eagle Hoops' Teams

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The conference schedule for both Morehead State basketball teams poses challenges and rewards as head coach Jonathan Mattox embarks on his second season leading the men and Ashton Feldhaus guides the women in her first season at MSU.

The non-conference schedules will be released separately. Ticket information will be posted when it becomes available as well.

Both teams' schedules are equal as the Ohio Valley Conference continues with its doubleheader format. Each team will have 20 games, playing all 10 other league programs twice. For the second straight season, all teams will play two league contests prior to the holiday break. 

The Eagle squads open up the league ledger at home on Dec. 16 against Little Rock before venturing to Evansville, Ind., to face Southern Indiana Dec. 20.

Morehead State's home OVC games include Jan. 8 (UT Martin), Jan. 10 (Southeast Missouri), Jan. 22 (Western Illinois), Jan. 24 (Eastern Illinois), Jan. 29 (SIUE), Jan. 31 (Lindenwood), Feb. 12 (Tennessee Tech), Feb. 14 (Tennessee State) and Feb. 24 (Southern Indiana). 

MSU begins and ends the season with Little Rock, traveling to the Natural State on Feb. 26 prior to the OVC Tournament (set for March 4-7 in Evansville).

The weekend of Feb. 13-14 (when the teams host Tennessee State) is set as Blue-Gold Weekend, with alumni celebrations as well as the 2025 Athletic Hall of Fame induction and recognition.
