SCHEDULE
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Men's Basketball will face an 11-game non-conference slate this winter, packed with games to provide challenges and opportunities for growth for head coach
Jonathan Mattox's revamped second season leading the program.
Following an opening-night home contest against Midway (Ky.) on Nov. 3, the Eagles embark on perhaps their toughest swing of the season. MSU travels south to face back-to-back-to-back power 5 foes in Wake Forest (Nov. 7), Georgia (Nov. 9) and Clemson (Nov. 11).
"We are excited to play a challenging non-conference schedule that will properly prepare us for the rigorous gauntlet that is the Ohio Valley Conference," said Mattox. "We look forward to playing tough opponents and seeing how we stack up against great competition."
Wake Forest, from the ACC, finished 21-11 in 2024-25. Southeastern Conference foe Georgia was 20-13 last year and played in the NCAA Tournament. Clemson, who the Eagles defeated in the NIT in 2022-23, was 27-7 last year, 18-2 in the ACC and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
Morehead State's additional non-conference home games are against Kentucky Christian (Nov. 16) and Alice Lloyd (Dec. 28).
Road challenges also include an multi-team event at East Tennessee State on Nov. 21-22 where the Eagles face the host Buccaneers and Louisiana-Monroe, IU-Indianapolis (Nov. 29), former OVC rival Murray State (Dec. 2) and Presbyterian (Dec. 6).
The Ohio Valley Conference portion of the 2025-26 ledger tips off Dec. 16 at home versus Little Rock.
