MOREHEAD, Ky. — Morehead State Women's Basketball is launching Next Up Eagles, a youth program for boys and girls ages 5-11 designed to develop young basketball players, build meaningful connections with Eagle student-athletes, and provide memorable experiences within the Morehead State basketball family.
The program will give participants the opportunity to learn from the Morehead State Women's Basketball coaching staff and players through two 90-minute basketball development clinics scheduled for December 8 and January 5.
Participants will also receive an exclusive Next Up Eagles T-shirt and take part in special experiences, including an Eagle High-Five Tunnel, where they can cheer on the Eagles as the team takes the court for a home game.
On January 23, Next Up Eagles participants will be recognized during halftime of a Morehead State Women's Basketball home game at Johnson Arena. The recognition will also feature a special Future Eagles 5-on-5 showcase, giving participants the opportunity to take the court and show off their skills.
Through the Eagles Pen Pal Program, participants will also be paired with a Morehead State Women's Basketball player to exchange letters and notes throughout the program, fostering relationships and creating connections that extend beyond the basketball court.
Next Up Eagles reflects Morehead State Women's Basketball's commitment to engaging with young athletes, encouraging their development, and welcoming the next generation of Eagles into the program's community.
