MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Led by a pair of top-five individual efforts, Morehead State Women's Golf equaled its best-ever 54-hole team score and claimed third place at the Jackrabbits Invitational in Nevada.
Morehead State's 867 total tied this year's 867 performance at the Lady Red Wolves Classic in Arkansas in October. MSU finished at plus-3 (287-290-290--867), just two strokes behind the host South Dakota State. UNLV surged to the team title at Boulder Creek Golf Club with a minus-12 total.
Senior
Amelia Rae Greenlee produced her fifth career top-five score, tying for fourth place, while junior
Isabella Wiley also tied for fourth. It marked her first career top-five showing. Greenlee carded 69-70-73--212, while Wiley was at 69-73-70--212.
Junior
Claudia Hofmeister scored her highest-ever finish as an Eagle, coming in tied for 14th at 73-75-73--221.
Senior
Tuva Marie Isebakke finished at 76-72-79--227, and freshman
Morgan Kennedy was close behind at 78-77-74--229.
Freshman
Margaret Ulrich played as an individual and closed her event with an 83-78-76--237.
Morehead State's next action takes it from the desert west to the Atlantic Ocean as the Eagles will play in the Bermuda Triangle Invitational in Bermuda on March 30-31.
