MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Morehead State Men's Golf Team competed in the Bluegrass Collegiate Invitational on Apr. 13-14, finishing 13th out of 17 competing teams.

The tournament took place in Lexington, Ky., over the par-71, 7,013-yard University Club of Kentucky - Big Blue Course. Due to scattered storms and a weather delay in the morning, the first 36 holes had to be separated, pushing the back half of round two into day two's schedule. The improved weather in day two aided some better scores by all competing individuals, including Logan McCormick who finished tied for 15th (76-73-73--222) and lead the Eagles. Morehead State posted a final score of 308-311-298—917 (+65), moving up three spots in the final round. The University of Kentucky won the tournament, finishing six over par and finishing with all five of their players in the top-15.

Sophomore Mitchell Gastright (Ind.) led the Eagles in round one, finishing four over par after his two birdies and an eagle on a par 5. Senior Logan McCormick led the Eagles in round two, shooting two over par after three birdies on the back nine. Sophomore Gavin Augenstein dropped in an eagle in round two, the same hole that Gastright did in the previous round (hole seven). Sophomore Seamus Bogan led the Eagles in round three, shooting one over par and moving up 17 spots in the leader board.

Seamus Bogan followed behind McCormick, finishing tied for 38th with a score of 77-78-72--227.  Gavin Augenstein (76-79-76-231), Mitchell Gastright (Ind). (75-81-76--232), Remy Stalcup (79-82-77-238), and Logan Liles (82-81-85--248) rounded out the lineup for the Eagles.

The Eagles will be back in action at the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in West Lafayette, Ind., Apr. 26-29.
