Tangiora Boosts Men's Basketball's Roster Talent for 2026-27

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Tayvion Tangiora, a powerful 6-foot-7 forward who played one season at Davidson-Davie College in North Carolina, has inked to transfer to the Morehead State men's basketball program.

Tangiora is a native of Swansboro, North Carolina.

"Our staff did a great job of identifying Tayvion," said Head Coach Jonathan Mattox. "He brings both physicality and skill to our front court. He is versatile in that he can play both outside and inside. We're really looking forward to Tayvion joining our program!"

Tangiora averaged 13.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game last campaign for Davidson-Davie, located in Lexington, N.C. He scored 20+ points 23 times, including a career-high 30. He was a major catalyst in the Storm going 28-8.

Tangiora prepped at Swansboro High School, located on North Carolina's coast near the Outer Banks. His senior year produced averages of 18.0 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.1 blocks and 2.0 assists per game as he guided Swansboro to a 25-2 overall mark and 10-0 in the Coastal Conference. They advanced to the NCHSAA 3-A East Regional final in Winston-Salem.

Tangiora was the Coastal Conference Player of the Year and earned all-area.

He participated in he North Carolina Coaches Association East-West All-Star game and was the MVP of the Onslow County Tournament.
