MOREHEAD, Ky. — After a successful season that elevated the Morehead State Women's Basketball program back into the upper echelon of the Ohio Valley Conference, Head Coach Ashton Feldhaus has accepted the Head Coach position at McNeese State University.

Feldhaus, a native of Richmond, Ky., made an immediate and lasting impact in her lone season at the helm of the Eagles. She guided Morehead State to 18 wins, marking an impressive eight-win improvement from the 2024–25 campaign, and led the program to a postseason appearance in the WNIT. Along the way, her leadership and defensive mindset helped produce the Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year, while also mentoring three all-conference selections.

Feldhaus arrived at Morehead State following a strong season as head coach at Missouri Western, where she led the Griffons to 20 victories and continued to build her reputation as one of the rising stars in women's college basketball. Her ability to quickly establish a winning culture and connect with her student-athletes has been evident throughout her coaching journey.

"McNeese has hit the mark in hiring Ashton Feldhaus as their next head coach," said Morehead State Director of Athletics Kelly Wells. "She is a young star in women's basketball coaching. She will bring an efficient and exciting style of play along with an elite background in coaching. I'm super proud of her and the impact she's had at Morehead State. Looking forward to seeing her success as she moves to McNeese."

Morehead State Athletics thanks Coach Feldhaus for her leadership, energy, and impact on our women's basketball program this past season. We wish her nothing but continued success at McNeese State and in all future endeavors.
