MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Izaiah Day, who helped Taylor (Ind.) into the NAIA national tournament in 2025-26 as the team's leading scorer, has transferred in to join the Morehead State men's basketball program.
Head coach
Jonathan Mattox is looking for Day to become another solid addition from the NAIA ranks. MSU has seen recent success from NAIA transfers, including 2023-24 OVC Player of the Year Riley Minix and 2022-23 OVC Defensive Player of the Year Alex Gross.
"Izaiah is a big time shooter. He made 90 threes at over 40 percent. He is a high IQ basketball player who moves well without the ball and is capable of guarding the other teams' best perimeter player. Izaiah has great character and competitiveness, and we're really looking forward to coaching him."
Day, a 6-3 guard from Middletown, Ohio, averaged 16.3 points per game for the Trojans in 2025-26, helping Taylor to 19 victories. He also contributed 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest.
