MOREHEAD, Ky. -- With the most national titles of any college program in the history of the sport, Morehead State cheerleading is now up for even more national honors, as the program has been nominated for two accolades for The Cheer Awards.
The Cheer Awards is a national program honoring the best in the cheer world, from professional to college to amateur and from on-the-mat to behind-the-scenes.
Morehead State was nominated for and has been selected as a finalist for Best College to Cheer at, and head coach
Mark Coleman is a finalist for College Coach of the Year. This is the second year for The Cheer Awards but the first to include collegiate-specific categories.
Voting is closed, and the awards will be announced live in Orlando, Fla., on July 15. More than 150,000 votes were cast.
