MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State sophomore
Morgan Kennedy posted a solid first event for 2026-27 and was rewarded with an Ohio Valey Conference Female Golfer of the Week honor.
It's the first weekly honor in her career for Kennedy, from Catlettsburg, Ky. Last season, the program garnered nine Golfer of the Week accolades.
In the Golfweek Fall Challenge, Kennedy carded a 71-72-74 -- 217, with her 71 tying for her career best round. She was 12th at last season's OVC Championship, signifying this week's result as her second best career finish. Her + 4 scorecard was also the best of her short career in terms of relative to par.
Kennedy was the 2025-26 OVC Freshman of the Year.
The Eagles return to action on Monday at the Brittany Kelly Classic in Indiana, hosted by Ball State.
