C.J. Wamsley

C.J. Wamsley is in his first season as assistant baseball coach at Morehead State. Wamsley joins MSU after completing a four-year playing career at Western Kentucky University.

Wamsely was a four time letterwinner at WKU, and was a career .300 hitter for the Hilltoppers. Wamsley participated in two NCAA regionals (2008 Stillwater, Okla. regional and 2009 Oxford, Miss. regional), and was a member of two Sun Belt Conference championship squads (2008,2009).

Prior to playing at WKU, the Ashland, Ky. native was a three year starter at Boyd County High School, earning All-Area selections in two of those three years. Wamsley was also named Section 8 Most Valuable Player and selected to the 2005 Kentucky High School Athletic Association State All- Tournament team.

Wamsley graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2009 with a bachelors degree in corporate communication.
