Dillon Lawson

Dillon Lawson is in his third season at Morehead State. Lawson serves as pitching coach, junior college recruiter and assists with the baseball strength and conditioning and speed and agility programs.

Prior to joining the Eagles, Lawson spent the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons at Lindenwood University, which is located in St. Charles, Mo. While at Lindenwood, Lawson was the recruiting coordinator and mainly worked with the catchers. He helped the Lions to back-to-back regular season and conference tournament championships, and back- to-back NAIA regional finals appearances.

At the end of the 2008 season, Lawson graduated from Lindenwood with a Master’s of education degree with an emphasis on strength and conditioning. During the 2008 summer, Lawson was the head coach of the wooden-bat league Olympia Athletics, a feeder team to another collegiate, wood bat baseball team (the Kitsap Bluejackets – a member West Coast Collegiate Baseball League) in the state of Washington.

Prior to Lindenwood, Lawson was a four-year starter at first base and catcher for Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky. Lawson was named Second-Team All-HCAC his junior year, and First-Team All-HCAC his senior year. He graduated from Transylvania in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science.
