Cole Stoudt, a former standout quarterback at perennial powerhouse Clemson, is in his third season on the Morehead State coaching staff and mentors the Eagle quarterbacks.
Stoudt's most recent position was as an offensive assistant at Ohio Valley Conference champion program Jacksonville State in 2017. Stoudt also served as a graduate assistant for the Gamecocks after his time concluded at Clemson in 2014.
At JSU, Stoudt helped signal caller Eli Jenkins to the OVC Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2015 and 2016. While on staff, JSU won three OVC championships, went 23-0 in the league and appeared in the 2015 FCS national championship game.
Stoudt passed for more than 2,600 yards in four years at Clemson, including 1,892 yards and nine scores in 2014 when he started eight games. He was named Most Valuable Player of the Russell Athletic Bowl after throwing for 329 and three touchdowns and rushing for another against No. 24 Oklahoma.
Stoudt's career 65 percent completion accuracy ranks first all-time in Clemson history, and in 2014 he ranked sixth all-time for a single season in the Tigers' program by completing 63 percent.
In high school, he passed for a school-record 4,393 yards and 52 touchdowns against just 11 interceptions in his career at Dublin Coffman (Ohio) High School. Stoudt broke the school career passing yardage and touchdown records that had been held by former Notre Dame and NFL quarterback Brady Quinn.
Stoudt also signed as a free agent with the San Diego Chargers in 2015.
Stoudt holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from Clemson (2015) and his master's degree from Jacksonville State.
