Greg Moore

Greg Moore is in his first season on staff at MSU, serving as running back coach and co-special teams coordinator.

Moore most recently served as the running backs coach and run game coordinator at Virginia University of Lynchburg in the spring of 2023. Prior to that, he served as the Athletic Director at Flyght Academy Prep from 2020-23.

Moore began his coaching career at Trotwood-Madison (Ohio) High School as the running back coach and co-offensive coordinator from 2008-11, winning one state championship. Moore coached a year at Alderson Broaddus (W.Va.) from 2012-13 as the running back coach and special teams coordinator. Moore returned to Trotwood Madison as the co-offensive coordinator and running back coach in 2013-2020, winning two more state championships. Moore has had two Mr. Ohio nominees in his tenure as a coach for the best player in Ohio football. 

He was a standout running back at Cincinnati, helping his team win three bowl games. Moore won the Brig Owens award as the best back at Cincinnati in 2006. 

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, he graduated with his bachelor's degree in 2011 and is currently attending Grand Canyon University for his master’s degree. Moore and his wife Sabrina have two daughters, Myla and Olivia.
