Killian Markworth, who assisted with Morehead State football's offensive line in 2017, has been appointed to coach the tight ends beginning in 2018.
Markworth had emphasis on the offensive centers and guards in 2017 and also coached the scout team defensive line. He will also serve as a recruiting analyst in 2018.
Markworth came to Morehead State from Millikin (Ill.), where was a four-year player as a fullback, tight end, center and a defensive tackle. He then joined the coaching staff at Millikin, where in 2016 and the spring of 2017, he helped mentor the tackles, tight ends and fullbacks.
As a student-athlete, Markworth was elected by his squad to the student-athlete advisory council and the leadership council.
Markworth had an accomplished high school career at Arrowhead Union in Wisconsin. He helped lead the team to a state title in 2012 and a top-50 national ranking. AUHS was 30-4 while he played.
He graduated from Millikin in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in health, fitness and recreation and a minor in nutrition.Â
