Rodrick Sikes

 Rodrick Sikes, who scored more than 1,000 points in just two seasons at South Alabama, finished his second year on the Morehead State coaching staff in 2022-23 as Manager of Player Development.

Sikes, who has also played professionally, was originally recruited by MSU head coach Preston Spradlin. He chose Southwest Mississippi Community College before finishing his career and earning his degree at South Alabama.

Sikes was instrumental in helping the program win the 2022-23 OVC regular-season title, the program's first since 1983-84. The Eagles also appeared in the NIT for the first time in program history, winning a first-round game at ACC power and No. 1 seed Clemson. Mark Freeman earned OVC Player of the Year and Alex Gross was the Defensive Player of the Year. 

In two seasons at MSU, Sikes helped the Eagles win 45 games. 

At SMCC, Sikes was a Second-Team All-American and helped the team to the MACJC state title. He averaged 22.4 points as a sophomore, ranking fourth in the nation among NJCAA players and setting the school record for scoring average. 

At South Alabama, Sikes was Second-Team All-Sun Belt and holds the record for most 30-point scoring outputs in a single-season with five. He averaged 18.7 points as a junior in 2017-18 and 12.1 as a senior in 2018-19, eventually scoring 1,007 points in just two seasons.

Sikes graduated from St. Martin (Miss.) High School after attending Biloxi (Miss.) his first two years. He was a three-time South Mississippi All-Star. He played pro ball for one season with BK Liepaja in Latvia.

Sikes graduated from South Alabama with his bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies and is working toward his Master's Degree in sports management at Morehead State.
