Dean Schneider

Dean Schneider, who competed for the Morehead State golf team from 2008-12, is in his second year as a volunteer assistant coach.

Schneider tallied a 74.7 stroke average over 31 rounds as a senior in 2011-12.  His low round of 70 came at the Murray State Invitational and in a dual match against Eastern Kentucky.  His best tournament score of 216 came at the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate.

Schneider also played in nine rounds as a junior, 14 as a sophomore and six as a freshman.  He managed a career-best 67 at the 2009 Wasioto Winds Fall Kick-Off Invitational.

Schneider graduated from MSU in 2012 with 3.91 grade-point average and bachelor's degree in sport management.  He is currently working on a master's degree in sport management.

Schneider posted a 4.0 GPA as a senior at West Union (Ohio) High School and was the salutatorian of his class.  He qualified for the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Finals in 2006 and 2007, won the Southern Hills League Tournament as a senior and picked up all-district honors his final two years.
