After a four-year career for the rifle team, Ryan Hinson is now in his first year coaching and serving as the program's first-ever graduate assistant.

Hinson, who moved from Washington to South Carolina prior to his MSU career, was a two-time All-OVC performer in Air Rifle and was an All-OVC First-Team Smallbore shooter as a junior in 2019-20. That season he led the team with a 574.5 Smallbore average. 

His first season in 2017-18 proved to be a good one as well, when he ranked second on the team with a 1155.3 aggregate average.

Hinson was also a four-time CRCA Scholastic All-American.

He earned his bachelor's degree in 2021 from Morehead State.
