Jen Giles is in her third year as an assistant softball coach at Morehead State.
Giles earned four letters in softball at Long Island University. She was a four-time All-Northeast Conference honoree (2006-09) and two-time NEC Pitcher of the Year (2006-07).
She still ranks in the Blackbirds’ top 10 for career shutouts (1st, 29), appearances (T-1st, 139), wins (2nd, 72), innings pitched (2nd, 776), strikeouts (2nd, 481) and earned run average (8th, 2.08).
A native of Melbourne, Fla., Giles earned a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from LIU in 2009. She played and coached for the Lauf Wolves in Germany immediately after graduation.
Giles spent the 2010 and 2011 seasons coaching softball at Palm Bay High School in Melbourne, while working in property management.
