Abby Owings

Abby Owings is in her first season as a Graduate Assistant with the Morehead State women's basketball program.

Owings, a native of Kenton County, Kentucky, was a two-time national champion at Thomas More College and became the school's all-time leading scorer, finishing with 1,789 points. 

During her senior campaign at TMC, Owings was named a finalist for the Josten's Trophy, which is awarded to an outstanding NCAA Division III men's and women's basketball player who excels on the floor. Owings was also named to the Academic All-District II team by the College Sports Information Directors of America during her final year as a Saint.

During the 2018 NCAA Women's Final Four in Columbus, Ohio, Owings participated in the "So You Want To Be A Coach?" program that assists female collegiate basketball players who are interested in pursuing a career in coaching women's basketball. 

Owings graduated from Thomas More with a bachelors degree in educational studies with a minor in communications. At Morehead State, Owings will be perusing a masters degree in adult and higher education.
