Sarah Jones

Sarah Jones, who spent six seasons as a student-athlete and graduate assistant at Villanova, is in her first season on the Morehead State women's basketball staff as an assistant coach.

Jones most recently served as a graduate assistant at her alma mater. She assists in all aspects of the program and has a primary role and teaching and further developing MSU's offensive system.

Jones appeared in 88 games for the Wildcats and was a co-captain her senior season in 2011-12. She scored more than 200 points and shot 73 percent at the free throw line.

A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Jones was a two-sport star at Central High School. She led her basketball squad to three Public League titles and was a second-team all-state pick in 2007. She also played on a trio of Public League championship softball teams. Her father, Curtiss, played college football at Howard University.

Jones graduated from Villanova in 2011 with her bachelor's degree. She joins Mark Kost as the newest members of the staff.
