PRIOR TO MSU
Almodovar originally came to MSU to play soccer. ... She played soccer as a freshman goalkeeper at Arkansas-Pine Bluff. At UAPB, she played in six games, finishing with a 2.90 goals-against average, 25 saves, a 0.714 save percentage, one shutout and a 0-2-0 record in 310:13 minutes. … In high school, she spent three years on the cross country team. … Her top times from high school were 6:51 in the mile and 13:25 in the two mile. She started on the varsity soccer squad in 2019 and on the junior varsity in 2018. … As a junior, her soccer team was the sectional champion and second place in the conference. … She played club soccer for Sereno SC in New Mexico in 2020 as the Cosmos/Galacticas in 2017.
