Dean Hardin joined the Morehead State Media Relations Office in August 2024 after several years of service around the Morehead State Athletics program. 

Hardin returned to MSU for the 2017-18 basketball season serving as the analyst for Men's Basketball for the Eagle Sports Network.  He transitioned to the role of analyst for Morehead State's Men's and Women's Basketball ESPN+ broadcasts in 2019-20. He added play-by-play responsibilities for Volleyball in 2022.

He serves as the primary media contact for Men's Golf, Women's Basketball and Baseball. He also continues his broadcast roles in Volleyball and Basketball in this new role, adding play-by-play duties for the ESPN+ broadcasts for Baseball in Spring 2025.

A Morehead native, Hardin is an active collegiate and high school baseball umpire.  He and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Morehead.
