Jamey Carver

Jamey Carver, who previously served 11 years on the Morehead State sports medicine staff, returned as assistant athletic director and director of sports medicine and now has taken on the role as Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance.

He works alongside Deputy Director of Athletics Richard Fletcher to insure MSU is fully in compliance with NCAA rules.
 
Carver was promoted to Assistant AD and Director of Sports Medicine in 2011-12 before pursuing other opportunities. He spent two years as a surgical assistant at Cave Run Surgical Specialists in Morehead. Carver also participated in outreach programs for local high school during those two years.
 
Prior to his promotion to assistant AD, Carver was elevated to head trainer for men's sports in 2008-09. He began his career at MSU in 2001. Carver served as the men’s basketball trainer from 2001-08 and served as football trainer from 2008-11.

A former graduate assistant at Kentucky, Carver earned his master's degree in kinesiology from UK in 2001. He earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Northwestern State in 1998.

Carver is married to the former Brandy Morris, the principal at Rowan County High School and former soccer student-athlete at MSU. The couple has three daughters, Mia, Ava and Lana.
