The Nashville, Tenn. native earned his first Player of the Week honor for the 2010-2011 basketball season, leading the Eagles to an 83-64 non-conference win over SIU-Edwardsville on Sunday. Harper scored a career high 35 points, adding three assists and four steals. The senior scored 23 second half points and had a stretch of 10 straight points for the Eagles. Last Tuesday against No. 3 Ohio State, Harper chipped in nine points along with six assists and two steals. The Eagles held Ohio State to a season low 64 points and with six minutes remaining MSU had cut the lead to seven, however couldn’t hang on and eventually lost 64-45.
