MOREHEAD, Ky. - Morehead State redshirt sophomore middle blocker Emma Keough set a school single match record with 12 total blocks Friday night as MSU and visiting Eastern Illinois had an all-out duel at the net. After dropping the first set, the Eagles (11-5/4-1 OVC) rallied to win the final three and take the match 3-1 (22-25, 25-20, 25-2, 25-18) over the Panthers (7-11/1-5 OVC).

Morehead State, led by Keough's three solo and nine assisted rejections, piled up 18 team blocks. EIU, meanwhile got an eight-block night from Jorie Dieter and had 12 team swatbacks. Keough came within one assisted block of tying a single match record she in fact had set in her first collegiate match in 2008. She also had 13 kills and hit .286 to pick up the rare kill-block double-double.

Junior Kaitlin Craven led all players with 20 kills to go along with 11 digs for a double-double, and freshman Ellie Roberson - seeing her first significant action after a recent illness - totaled 10 kills.

Eastern Illinois had no players reach double figures in kills, but Alex Zwettler had nine kills and 10 digs. Jessica Wheeler added five blocks, and Melanie Boykins notched for four for the Panthers.

MSU junior setter Kirstie Brangers handed out a match best 46 assists and blocked six balls, while the OVC's top blocker - freshman Annie Gruenschlaeger - came up with six more swats tonight.

The teams also did their share of back row defense. MSU's Kristina Schoo led all players with 25 digs. She needs only 58 more scoops to reach 2,000 for her career. Brittany Wallace kept 18 attacks going on the back row for EIU.

Due to the stinginess at the net, neither team mustered a great attack percentage with MSU at .151 and EIU at .106
