Former MSU Volleyball Standout Cherelle Lampkins to be Featured on MTV Show MADE

MOREHEAD, Ky. – Former Eagle volleyball standout Cherelle Lampkins will be featured in an episode of the program MADE. Lampkins’ episode will premiere on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. EDT. There will also be an encore of the show on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. EDT, and then re-runs will air periodically.

Lampkins starred for the Eagles from 2000-03 and still holds the MSU career record for digs with 2,082, which also ranks in the top 40 in NCAA Division I history. She holds three of the top 10 dig totals for a season in school history.

MADE is a show that attempts to take individuals, mostly high school kids, and transform them into something they have always wanted to be. In most cases, the MADE kid wants to become something completely opposite from their current self. Lampkins’ episode focuses on a high school female with little athletic ability, and Lampkins helps her become skilled at volleyball and ultimately try out for her school’s varsity team.

Lampkins spent about five weeks working with MTV crews this summer filming scenes to be cut down into a 60-minute program. For more information on the show, follow this link:
