ANN ARBOR, Mich.--Morehead State's volleyball team defeated Fairfield 3-1 (26-24, 25-17, 25-20, 25-15) and VCU 3-1 (32-30, 18-25, 25-23, 25-12) Saturday to conclude the Michigan Challenge. The Eagles are now 7-3.
Against Fairfield, Katilin Craven had a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs.
Kirstie Brangers tallied 27 assists and hit a team-high .556 with six kills and only one error.
Annie Gruenschlaeger registered a career-high 10 blocks to lead the defense.
Against VCU, sophomore
Liz Schuler tied for team high honors in kills with a career high 15. She also posted her first career double-double with 10 digs.
Holly Evans also landed 15 kills, while Craven had her second double-double of the day with 12 kills and 16 digs.
Brangers had another double-double effort as well with 42 assists and 11 digs.
Emma Keough added five blocks.
Morehead returns home for its only home match in September on Tuesday at 7 p.m. against Marshall.
