MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Morehead State men’s basketball team will play at Illinois State for the ESPNU Bracketbuster game. MSU will travel to Normal, Ill., on Feb. 20 to face the Redbirds of the Missouri Valley Conference at 5:05 p.m. ET.
The Eagles are 15-7 overall and 9-2 in Ohio Valley Conference play and have an RPI of 119. They will look to pick up their first win in the eighth annual Bracketbuster event. The Bracketbuster also requires that the home team play at the visiting team the following year or year after.
The Redbirds have a RPI of 118 and are currently 15-7 overall and 6-5 in MVC play.
The last meeting between the two non-conference teams was last season, a 76-70 win by Illinois State.
The Eagles will be back in action this Thursday Feb. 4, at home against Jacksonville State University.
