MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Morehead State men’s tennis team came up big Friday at Sadler Courts, beating Tennessee State 7-0. The Eagles now stand 7-5 on the season after today’s victory and beating Hartford 7-0 on Wednesday to conclude a spring break trip to Florida. The Eagles are also 1-0 now in the Ohio Valley Conference.
In doubles action against TSU,
Greg Anderson and
Jerry Sundgren took down their opponents 8-2 in the number one position.
Bradley Bryan and
Lovell Medcalf came out with an 8-1 victory in the second position and the third position was won by default.
At the number one position in singles action, Anderson defeated Tennessee State’s Lawrence Washington 7-5, 6-2. Sundgren came up clutch on the second court against TSU opponent Justin Hamm 6-0, 6-0.
In the third position of singles action, senior
Dusan Milovanovic won his match 6-2, 6-2 against Aaron Fields. Bryan capped off a 7-0 MSU victory by winning his singles match 6-0, 6-2.
Freshman
Nathan Martin saw little action on the court today, leading his singles match 2-0 before TSU’s Micah Poole retired.
