MOREHEAD, Ky. - Morehead State makes the first stop on the western Ohio Valley Conference road trip at Southeast Missouri Thursday. Tipoff time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EST in the Show Me Center.
The Eagles will be looking to respond after an 81-80 home overtime loss to Jacksonville State Saturday. In that game, MSU held a nine-point lead with less than two minutes left in regulation but could not hold on.
Senior
Chynna Bozeman is coming off a career day against JSU when she tied her career best with 39 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and attempted a school and league single-game record 41 field goals. Junior guard
Linda Dixon will also look to keep up her stellar level of play as she has averaged 14.5 points and 8.0 rebounds in the last two contests.
Southeast Missouri enters the week at 5-10 overall and 1-5 in the OVC. The Redhawks have lost five of their last six games, and with the exception of a win over an NAIA team, they have only averaged 40.0 points a contest against the last five Division I foes. Overall, SEMO scores 50.1 points per game. Katie Norman leads the Redhawks with 9.5 points per outing. SEMO ranks 10th in the OVC in field goal accuracy.
MSU will be looking for just its fourth-ever win in the Show Me Center. They have wins in their last two games here, but before that, MSU was just 1-15 in the building since 1991-92.
The Eagles face Eastern Illinois next in Charleston, Ill., on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. EST.
