BOX SCORE | BOX SCORE (PDF)

CHARLESTON, Ill. --
Redshirt sophomore outside hitter Aryn Bohannon had team-highs of 13 kills and four aces to lead the Morehead State volleyball Eagles to a 3-0 sweep at Eastern Illinois Saturday at Lantz Arena.

The Eagles won their sixth consecutive match, improved to a perfect 6-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference, and won their 23rd conference match in the last 24 outings. In the Eagles' six league wins this year, they have now only dropped one set. EIU fell to 2-5 in the league and 4-13 overall.

The Eagles made fairly quick work of the hosts in the first two sets, winning 25-12 and 25-21. The Eagles had five match point opportunities denied in the final set, and EIU saw itself with three set point chances before Bohannon landed a kill and rejected a Panther attack to lift MSU to a 34-32 triumph in the final set.

Bohannon was one of two Eagles in double digits in the kill column. Junior outside hitter Ellie Roberson had 11 spikes. Redshirt senior middle blocker Emma Keough, who leads the OVC in hitting percentage against other league foes, hit at a .471 clip and slammed down nine kills to go along with three service winners.

Junior setter Caitlin Clark dished out 37 assists and had eight of the Eagles' match-best 48 digs. Junior libero Leslie Schellhaas helped to win the back row battle with a match-high 19 ups.

The Panthers had three players - Katie Kirby, Reynae Hutchinson and Emily Franklin - total nine kills to lead the team. MSU limited the EIU offense to just a .122 hitting efficiency.

Morehead State will conclude its three-match OVC road trip on Monday night at Tennessee State. First serve in Kean Hall is slated for 7 p.m. ET.
