MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State volleyball team trailed late in all three sets at Murray State Friday night, but the OVC-leading Eagles fought back to ultimately win all three sets and sweep the host Racers at Racer Arena.
The Eagles won 25-23, 25-23 and 25-22. In all sets, the Eagles trailed in the final points but put together rallies to claim victory.
With the win, Morehead State moved to 15-5 overall and 10-0 in the league. The Eagles won their 10th consecutive match and 27th OVC match in the last 28 league outings.

The Eagles looked poised to run away with set two, leading 21-13 following a block by Emma Keough and Aryn Bohannon, but the Racers furiously rallied with a 10-2 run. Two consecutive errors by the Eagles gave the hosts a 23-22 lead. Eagle Freshman Alex Fuelling tied the set at 23-all, and Gruenschlaeger and McDermott came up with a key block to push the visitors to a 25-23 win.
The Racers again held a 22-21 lead in the final set, but kills from Gruenschlaeger, Bohannon and McDermott - plus a Racer attack error - propelled the Eagles to a 4-0 run to end the match.
