Volleyball Looks to Continue Win Streak Tuesday at Austin Peay

LIVE STATS

MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Sporting a 12-match overall winning streak and a 21-match Ohio Valley Conference victory string, the Morehead State volleyball team will look to keep the streaks intact Tuesday night at Austin Peay. First serve in the Dunn Center is set for 7 p.m. ET.

The Eagles have not lost an OVC regular season match since Oct. 15, 2010 when APSU got past the Eagles 3-2 in Clarksville. Since that match, the Eagles rattled off nine straight to finish the 2010 season and have won the first 12 OVC matches this year. In that span, MSU has only lost 10 sets to OVC opponents. The Lady Govs did upset the Eagles in the 2010 OVC tournament championship match.

Junior outside Ellie Roberson has led the Eagles to this point in the season, ranking first in the league and 36th in the nation in kills per set. Junior setter Caitlin Clark ranks among the nation's top 20 in assists, and as a team, the Eagles top the league in kills, assists, hitting percentage and lowest opponent hitting percentage.

Austin Peay enters the match at 7-17 and 5-8 in the league. The Lady Govs are currently in a tie for seventh place. Nikki Doyle leads APSU with 314 total kills and 3.45 per set to rank second in the conference behind Roberson.

The Eagles defeated APSU 3-1 in Morehead on Sept. 17. Roberson and redshirt senior Emma Keough each had 14 kills, while Keough hit .542.

MSU leads the all-time series with Austin Peay, 41-27.
