MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Donnie Tyndall Television Show will return to CWKYT in Lexington, Ky. It will be available on DIRECTV channel 14 or Time Warner Cable channel 99.
The first two editions will air on Dec. 3 and 10 at 1 p.m. ET. The show will then move to its regular slot of Sundays at 1 p.m. for the remainder of the 2011-12 college basketball season.
David Patrick, from Morehead State’s communications & marketing department, will produce and host the show. Tanner Hesterberg will contribute to the Eagle Profiles segment.
The Tyndall Show will include highlights from previous games, insight from MSU’s head coach on upcoming contests, player profiles and special guests. Each show will last 30 minutes.
Tyndall is in his sixth year as the head coach at Morehead State. He previously coached at Iowa Central CC (assistant, 1993-96), St. Catharine College (head, 1996-97), LSU (assistant, 1997-2001), Idaho (associate head, 2001-02) and Middle Tennessee State (associate head, 2002-06).
Morehead State has improved in each of Tyndall’s five seasons at the helm. The Eagles went 12-18 (.400) in 2006-07, 15-15 (.500) in 2007-08, 20-16 (.556) in 2008-09, 24-11 (.686) in 2009-10 and 25-10 (.714) in 2010-11. MSU has also played in two of the last three NCAA Tournaments.
The 2010-11 Eagles finished 25-10 overall, 14-1 at home and 13-5 in the Ohio Valley Conference. MSU went on to capture the OVC Tournament title and upset Louisville in the NCAA Tournament.
Morehead State opens a three-game homestand on Sunday when it entertains Mid-Continent (Ky.) at 4 p.m. The Eagles will then host Illinois State on Dec. 7 and South Dakota on Dec. 10.
