MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Led by a ninth place individual finish by Sam Zirnheld, the Morehead State men's golf team improved two spots to finish 10th at the Bluegrass Fall Invitational, held this week at the par 71, 6,988-yard Big Blue Course.
Zirnheld finished with a 72-73-73--218 to tie for ninth place among the 87 participants.
Dean Schneider was the Eagles' next finisher, tying for 29th with a 77-75-72--224. Jared Flanery tied for 60th, carding an 80-73-77--230. Matt Logan tied for 66th with an 80-78-73--231, and Michael Pinsinneault rounded out the Eagles' lineup with an 80-76-78--234.
Kentucky won its own tournament by four strokes over second place Dayton.
MSU's next fall action is at the Murray State Fall Invitational on Oct. 3-4.
