MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State has placed 32 student-athletes on the 2011 Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll. The list is highlighted by senior halfback Ronnie McDermott, who registered a 4.0 grade-point average as an accounting major during the fall semester.
A total of 482 football players from the league’s 10 member institutions qualified for the honor. This marks the third consecutive year the PFL has announced a record number to its prestigious list.
PFL athletic directors and coaches established the honor roll as a way to recognize the league’s outstanding student-athletes. The honor roll includes all individuals who participated in football and posted at least a 3.0 GPA during the fall semester.
