MOREHEAD, Ky. -- With the OVC regular season title already wrapped up, the Morehead State volleyball team will look to close out the 2012 regular season on a high note this week as the Eagles host Eastern Kentucky Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET and travel to Austin Peay Saturday at 3 p.m.

The EKU match can be seen live on the OVC Digital Network with veteran collegiate coach Angela McGuire calling the play-by-play. Live stats for both matches are available via links on MSUEagles.com.

The Eagles can finish the regular season at a perfect 16-0 with two victories. Only seven other teams in league history have accomplished perfect conference slates.

Here are notes heading into the week:

Talon Tidbits
Morehead State concludes the 2012 regular season at home versus Eastern Kentucky and on the road versus Austin Peay  ... MSU’s 20-match winning streak is tied for longest in the nation ... Head Coach Jaime Gordon is in his 10th season with the Eagles and has led MSU to five OVC regular season titles, one tournament championship and 197 victories.

Title Town
Morehead State wrapped up its third consecutive OVC regular season championship last weekend. This class of Eagles is just the second team in league history (since the conference went away from divisions in 1988) to win three straight titles. Southeast Missouri owns the best streak at five, and the MSU teams in 1988, 1989 and 1990 ran off three consecutive titles as well. The OVC tournament will be held Nov. 15-17 in Morehead.

OVC Honors = 10
Senior right side hitter Ellie Roberson has earned four OVC Offensive Player of the Week accolades this year after garnering the honor again this week. Senior Caitlin Clark has been named the league’s Setter of the Week three times as well. MSU has now won 10 OVC weekly honors in 2012. Senior middle blocker Annie Gruenschlaeger earned the offensive honor on Sept. 3, and junior libero Leslie Schellhaas was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 10 and Oct. 8.

Nearing a Milestone
Head coach Jaime Gordon is just three victories shy of 200 for his tenure at MSU, which began in 2003. Gordon, who has 277 career collegiate victories (including 80 at West Virginia Wesleyan), has averaged more than 20 wins per campaign as MSU’s bench boss.

Tough to Beat
In the last three seasons, Morehead State has won 50 of its last 52 OVC matches. In the last two seasons, MSU is 33-1 in league matchups.

Aryn’s Aces
Redshirt junior outside hitter Aryn Bohannon ranks second in the OVC in aces with 37. That’s just one behind league pace-setter Brittani Hathorn of Tennessee State. Bohannon is among the best servers in school history with 128 career aces.

We’re Streaking
Morehead State’s 20-match winning streak is tied for the longest in the nation in Division I. The Eagles are tied with No. 1 Stanford and No. 18 Western Kentucky for the nation’s best success streak. According to unofficial OVC records, only Southeast Missouri has put together a longer overall winning streak in conference history at 21 matches in 1999.

Home Sweet Home
Morehead State leads the OVC in home attendance and has won 26 of its last 27 OVC matches in Wetherby Gym. MSU has a 10-match OVC home winning streak.

Checking Out the Competition
