TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The No. 18 Morehead State rifle team picked up a 4,531-4,380 decision over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (RHIT) on Saturday.
The Eagles were led by junior Mary Saenger with the top shot in both smallbore (569) and air rifle (577). Her smallbore total was her second highest of the season, while the air rifle total tied for her third highest of 2012.
Sophomore Ethan Cole shot a combined 1,137 for MSU (565 smallbore, 572 air rifle), and had the second highest smallbore total in the event.
Senior Rob Gagliani (562 smallbore, 547 air rifle), junior Kathleen Mulligan (555 smallbore, 561 air rifle) and sophomore Christian Hashagen (541 smallbore, 570 air rifle) also scored for the Eagles.
MSU picked up four victories in the first half of the season, and after a midseason break, the Eagles will host RHIT on Saturday, Jan. 19.
