MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State seniors Linda Dixon and Courtney Lumpkin have been tabbed to the College Sports Madness All-Ohio Valley Conference women's basketball teams.
Dixon was named to the third team, while Lumpkin was selected to the fourth team.
Dixon, who hails from Radcliff, Ky., led the team with 80 three-pointers and averaged 15.5 points overall and 16.5 points in league contests. She ranked second in the conference with 37 blocked shots and second in three-pointers made per game. She registered a team-best 24 double-figure scoring games and eclipsed 20 points eight times, including a career standard of 31 points at Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 11.
Lumpkin, from Cincinnati, Ohio, led the Eagles and ranked sixth in the OVC in scoring (16.1 ppg) and 10th in assists (3.2 apg). She led the team with nine 20-point games and paced the Eagles in scoring 11 times. She scored a career-high 32 points at SIU Edwardsville on Feb. 6.
During the year, Lumpkin became the third player in school history to eclipse 1,000 career points and 450 assists. She currently ranks second in MSU history with 489 handouts and is just 11 assists shy of setting the career record.
UT Martin's Heather Butler was deemed the Player of the Year by the web site, and SIUE bench boss Amanda Levens was named the Coach of the Year.
