RICHMOND, Ky. -- The Morehead State men’s golf team suffered a dual-match setback to Eastern Kentucky on Saturday at the Arlington Golf Course. The Colonels posted a 284-290--574 in the 36-hole affair, while the Eagles recorded a 291-300--591.
Morehead State senior Crit Reddick, playing as an individual, tied for fourth with a 68-76--144 on the par-72 course. His first-round score matched the best of any round in the event.
Senior Dean Schneider finished two-over par with a 70-76--146, while junior Jared Flanery was three over (71-76--147) and sophomore Michael Pinsonneault was four over (74-74--148) for the Eagles.
Junior Sam Zirnheld (76-74--150) and sophomore Tommy Carrico (82-79--161) rounded out MSU’s line-up, while junior Matt Logan (80-74--154) and sophomore Ian Danis (83-88--171) joined Reddick as individuals.
EKU junior Johan Eriksson took first place individually with rounds of 68 and 71 for a total of 139.
The Eagles return to action April 9-10 when they travel to the Grub Mart Intercollegiate in Glencoe, Ala. The 54-hole tournament will be hosted by Ohio Valley Conference member Jacksonville State and played at the Silver Lakes Golf Course.
