MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State volleyball team will host Tennessee State and Belmont this weekend in Ohio Valley Conference matches at Wetherby Gym. TSU heads to town for a 7 p.m. ET match Friday, while MSU entertains Belmont Saturday at 5 p.m.
TSU enters the weekend with a 10-13 overall mark and a 6-6 ledger in the conference. Belmont, which has won eight straight matches, sits at 16-12 and 9-3 in the league prior to a Friday night tilt at Eastern Kentucky.
With a pair of victories this weekend, Morehead State will secure its fourth consecutive OVC regular season championship. Only one other league team, Southeast Missouri from 1993-97, has more consecutive titles than MSU. The MSU teams from 1987-90 also claimed four straight conference championships. A win on Friday would claim at least a share of the regular-season title.
