MOREHEAD, Ky. -- The Morehead State women's basketball team opens an OVC road trip Saturday at Tennessee Tech. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. ET.
MSU (10-14/4-7 OVC) has dropped seven of its last nine games, but the last two have been deciced by just three points each. It will mark the 77th all-time meeting between MSU and TTU (9-15 / 6-5 OVC). The Golden Eagles have won five straight in the series.
Following Saturday's contest, the Eagles will head further south to face Jacksonville State Monday night.

The Last Time Against TTU
Tech raced out to a 10-0 advantage and never looked back in a 73-53 victory over MSU on March 2, 2013 in Cookeville, Tenn. Terrice Robinson paced Morehead State with a game-high 23 points on 9-of-21 overall and 4-of-4 from the charity stripe. She finished out the season with 30 straight free throws made.
Most Efficient Team in the League
The Eagles lead the OVC in assist-field goal ratio. Sixty-five percent of the time MSU makes a basket there is an assist.
Welcome to the Club
Terrice Robinson became the 21st member of the 1,000-point club at Morehead State on Jan. 25 at Tennessee State. With 1,050 career points, she is now ranked 19th in career scoring in program history.
Live by the Three
Morehead State averages 7.5 three-pointers made and 24.6 three-pointers attempted per game. MSU has put together six consecutive seasons with at least 200 three-pointers made. The Eagles need just 21 more to reach the 200 mark this season.
Toeing the Line
In its last five games, MSU shot 82 percent (63-of-77) at the free throw line. The Eagles are hitting 72 percent as a unit at the charity stripe this year after nailing 73 percent last year. MSU missed a school-record season percentage by just a tenth of a point last year.
Fantastic Five
Almesha Jones has joined an exclusive list of former MSU student-athletes with at least 300 career assists and 150 steals. Only four others, Chynna Bozeman (2007-11), Kelly Stamper (1985-89), Hilary Swisher (1994-98) and Stacey Spake (1990-94) are on that list. Only two, Bozeman and Stamper, have achieved that milestone, plus scored 1,000 career points. Jones needs 196 points to reach 1,000.
Miss Robinson
Terrice Robinson ranks sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference with 17.5 points per game. She has 20 career 20+ point games. She also has 46 career double-figure scoring games to her credit.
Gimme That
Almesha Jones currently ranks tied for first in the OVC in steals per game with 2.3. Jones ranks eighth in program history with 157 steals.
Piling Up the Dimes
Almesha Jones, who leads the OVC in assists per game with 5.8, has recorded 30 career games with at least five assists. Half of those games have come this season. She had a career-high 12 helpers versus Belmont last week.
Playing Well(s)
Freshman guard Aaliyah Wells scored 14 points at Eastern Kentucky last Saturday, equaling her career high she established against Belmont just five days earlier. She has 38 points in the last three games.
The Shay Hey Kid
Freshman forward Shay Steele ranks fourth in the conference with 22 blocked shots. The Salisbury, N.C., product scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds in just 21 minutes of action at Eastern Kentucky.
