MOREHEAD, Ky. –
Michael Haber has been named an assistant athletic trainer at Morehead State. He will work directly with men's basketball and several other sports.
"I'm excited for this unbelievable opportunity to work with the men's basketball team and Morehead State University," said Haber. "I look forward to working with all of the hard-working student athletes."
Haber comes to Morehead State after serving as the assistant athletic trainer at Queens University in Charlotte, N.C. from 2013-2015. At Queens, he worked with men's soccer, women's lacrosse, tennis, golf, women's basketball, and the National Champion women's swimming team.
From 2011-2013, he was the head athletic trainer at Woodland High School in Stockbridge, Ga., and he also served as the head athletic trainer for the Atlanta Silverbacks Professional Soccer Team in 2011.
He also spent time with the UFL's Florida Tuskers as their assistant athletic trainer from 2009-2011, and from 2008 to 2009 he was the head athletic trainer at the Gwinnett Medical Center and Norcross (Ga.) High School.
Haber graduated from the University of Georgia in 2003 with a degree in exercise and sports science, with an emphasis on athletic training and a minor in mass communications. He then attended the University of Miami, where he graduated with a Master's Degree in sports administration in 2007.
While in college, he had internships with the St. Louis Rams, Florida Marlins, and the Texas Rangers' rookie ball team.
He is married to his wife Melissa, and they have two rescue dogs, Keilyn and Piper.
